Title: Internship Program Assistant
Program: Canada Summer Jobs 2008
Location: EIC's Stouffville Office
Emmanuel International Canada is seeking an energetic and compassionate student to join our staff team as a Global Education and Promotions Assistant for a ten week full time contract from Monday, June 17th until Friday, August 23th, 2008.
Qualifications:
- Office experience is an asset, but not required.
- Experience working in a multicultural setting would be an asset
- Good Interpersonal Skills is an asset
- Computer knowledge is an asset
- Administrative skills is an asset
- Agreement with, and commitment to EIC's Statement of Faith, mandate and policies.
- The Applicant must be returning to full time education in September 2008
- Willing to be a team member of the EICanada community
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in preparing and organizing the training school for the 2008 interns
- Assist the HR department in planning, organizing, executing and hosting the three week cross cultural training school.
- Arrange travel to and from the training school
- Monitor the website for changes in the internships
- Help manage the Mailing list – as well as data entry
- Promote the internships through e-mail, job fairs, public events that may come up.
Salary: This job is subject to government funding approval (which is announced in June, 2008), but there is an option that this job can also be funded through Personal Faith Support as a EIC summer worker.
Starting Date: June, 2008
