Title: Development/Relief Program Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for a manager to focus on our work in Northern Uganda.

Duties and Responsibilities

To work with EIC Rep in developing program to address Northern Uganda humanitarian needs
Network with local NGOs, local donors and EIC Partners (DNU and DK) and attend meeting
Survey needs and develop proposals for donors (CIDA, USAID, WFP etc.) to address humanitarian needs of local population within EI's target areas in Northern Uganda
Reporting and Monitoring of Project activities
Field accounting and monitoring of program

Requirements and Qualifications

Knowledge of proposal writing and development.
Basic knowledge of finance and field accounting.
Flexible and willing to work at level of local partners.
Training in International Development an asset.
Interest in Spiritual ministries.
Mature, ministering Christian, active in their local church.
Set apart and recommended by their local church, as part of their church's global outreach.
Agreement with, and commitment to EIC's doctrinal statement, mandate and policies.
Successful completion of EIC's cross cultural training program.
Ability and willingness to raise prayer and financial support.
Good interpersonal skills.
Interests, skills and/or training for the position as appropriate.
A minimum length of service of 14 months (2 months of EIC cross-cultural training and preparation and one year overseas) with longer term commitments recommended.
Previous overseas experience is an asset.
