Richard McGowan - Let us not grow weary!

The summer months are always busy in our Canadian office. As many of our staff begin to take holidays and vacation, go on mission trips and volunteer elsewhere, we are constantly reminded in their absence of the essential role they
play in our office. As we all pitch in and fill their roles as need, we really see the amount of work that each one of them does.

These past few months have been exceptionally busy here at EIC. As we gather in meetings, plan upcoming events, send out new missionaries, organize new projects and work with this year’s summer student interns, there is much to keep us active.

However, even as we are all kept busy and active, I am reminded not to grow tired. Galatians 6:9 tells us to “not become weary of doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

In our mission, we take great encouragement from these words. The promise that our work is not in vain sustains our hope and replenishes our zeal for the great work that EIC does around the world.

No matter how exhausting the work may be, I encourage all of you to grasp onto the same hope. Together, let us work towards a ‘harvest’; let us not grow weary!

God bless
