Health for Development Project – 2025 Update
This project is supported by donors and MCIC. in partnership with Emmanuel International Tanzania and the Pentecostal Holiness Mission Church.
Bringing Hope, Health, and Transformation—Together
Because of your faithful support, lives are being changed in both practical and spiritual ways. Through local churches, this project is sharing not only essential health knowledge, but also the love of Christ—helping individuals and families experience wholeness in body, mind, and spirit.
A Christ-Centered Approach to Community Health
This project is rooted in the belief that caring for our bodies and communities is part of God’s design for abundant life. Through church-led groups, participants are learning:
- The importance of clean water, sanitation, and hygiene
- God-honouring care for their families through nutrition and breastfeeding
- Stewardship of the environment and local resources
These teachings are shared in small groups, where relationships are built, faith is strengthened, and transformation takes root.
Impact You Made Possible in 2025
- 9 villages reached
- 478 participants engaged in community groups
- Ongoing discipleship and training through local churches
Health & Discipleship in Action
Regular visits and training sessions are equipping communities to live healthier lives while growing in unity and faith. Participants are not only learning—they are encouraging one another and becoming agents of change in their villages.
Strengthening Livelihoods
Through savings groups and practical training, families are gaining tools to provide for themselves:
- Small businesses like soap-making and trading are growing
- Poultry farming and agriculture are improving nutrition and income
- Beekeeping and tree planting are supporting long-term sustainability
Together, community savings groups circulated over 239 million TZS ($125,000CDN), enabling families to invest in their futures.

Faith in Action: Stories of Transformation
“Through savings and loans, I expanded my farmland and increased my income.”
“We were able to give eggs to children at the clinic—serving our community together.”
“I managed to grow tomatoes in a quarter of an acre through loans, and the crop has helped me improve my life. Jose Mdegela (picture below)

These are more than success stories—they are reflections of God at work through His people, bringing provision, dignity, and compassion.
Growing Through Challenges
Like many ministries, this work is not without challenges—whether in changing long-held habits, navigating group dynamics, or adapting to environmental conditions.
Yet through continued teaching, prayer, and perseverance, we are seeing steady progress. Local churches remain at the heart of this work, faithfully walking alongside their communities.
Looking Ahead
With hope and prayer, we are preparing to:
- Establish new groups and reach more families
- Deepen discipleship and community engagement
- Expand income-generating activities for long-term impact
Thank You for Being Part of This Work
Your partnership is helping bring lasting change—meeting physical needs while pointing people to the hope found in Christ.
Together, we are seeing communities strengthened, faith lived out, and lives transformed.
