Rotary Club of Uxbridge are collecting used Pencils for a school in Malawi

Three Rotarians from the local Uxbridge Rotary Club Ontario are going to be travelling as part of a group to Malawi in mid-September to visit Emmanuel International Canada’s project sites and also to assist in refreshing classrooms by helping to paint and applying colorful alphabet and numeric stencil borders on the walls of the primary grade classrooms. The classrooms were originally built by a group of Rotarians from the GTA. If you would like to assist the current team going, the Rotary Club is collecting coloured pencils (not wax crayons) and pencil sharpeners. The goal is to collect by Sept 6th over 10,000 gently used pencils so that each of the 900 children may receive multiple pencils for their use.

So please drop off pencils at Emmanuel International Stouffville 3967 Stouffville Road L4A 8A2 or email Lindsay@eicanada.org

Alternatively, you may donate cash to purchase supplies in country which also helps the local economy. Cash donations over $10.00 are eligible for a tax donation receipt.
