New Project in Malawi for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health

"Emmanuel International Canada (EIC) is very pleased to be working with the Maternal, Newborn and Child Health “PROMISE” consortium of Christian Children’s Fund Canada and ADRA," stated Richard McGowan, Executive Director Emmanuel International Canada.

EIC is improving the health of mothers, newborns and children in Malawi. One of the first steps to better living is better health, and learning new skills. Education on how to prevent the spread of communicable diseases, and re-hydration methods for diarrhea all save lives.

Training in good nutrition for mother and baby helps prevent stunting and malnutrition. Regular growth monitoring helps alert mothers to potential problems.

EIC Canada is delivering on this promise to support efforts to end the preventable deaths of mothers, newborns and children younger than age five.

We deal with the most vulnerable in Malawi. Every year six million children of our world die needlessly from preventable diseases.   Working together with the “PROMISE” consortium for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health, the programs of EIC Canada are helping every child in the village to not only survive, but thrive!
