Only God Himself fully appreciates the influence of a mother in the molding of character in her children. Someone has said, “Like mother, like children.
The influence of a mother upon the lives of her children cannot be measured. They know and absorb her example and attitudes when it comes to questions of honesty, temperance, kindness, and industry.
We face multiple challenges in our changing world, but one factor remains constant: the timeless importance of mothers and their invaluable contribution to raising the next generation. By rewarding their efforts and enhancing their living conditions, we can secure a better future for all.
And so, in light of this honouring of the Mothers, EIC humbly takes on a new project called “A Promise Worth Keeping” - Maternal, Newborn and Child Health.
EIC will be centralizing its efforts in Malawi, among six health clinics and over 300 villages. Within the communities, PROMISE will seek to improve the delivery and utilisation of essential health services to mothers, pregnant women, and all children under the age of five. Additionally, this project will inform patients of the benefits of increased consumption of nutritious food and supplements for mothers and children. The PROMISE project is a commitment to help preserve the precious health of mothers and children.
As we see it, this is a promise worth keeping!
