SEND Centre Update

SEND Centre Update

We previously shared the SEND Centre was going to be located at a current location. Upon site visits and environmental studies, it was advised to build on a new location, which is being pursued now.

Overview of SEND Centre

The SEND Centre is being developed to equip the next generation of disciple-makers in Northern Uganda, filling a major gap in cross-cultural training and discipleship across the region.

It will offer two training streams:

  • Short-term discipleship intensives (3–5 days), (residential)
  • Cross-cultural missionary training (~6 months) (residential)— covering Bible interpretation, evangelism, cross-cultural skills, trauma healing, support raising, language learning, and family/marital counselling for married trainees.

The campus design includes classrooms, an administration building with offices and a library/computer lab, shaded outdoor meeting areas, sports facilities (soccer field, volleyball court), and a playground — with flexible accommodation to host single trainees, families, and visiting trainers.

By building SEND Centre, Emmanuel International Uganda aims to raise and send out workers to reach unreached people groups, and to strengthen the capacity of local churches to disciple and mobilize believers for mission. be

Why the SEND Centre Matters

The SEND Centre will meet a critical need in Northern Uganda by providing cross-cultural mission training where none currently exists. Many believers feel called to serve but lack access to theological grounding, ministry skills, and practical preparation for life in new cultural contexts. By offering both short-term discipleship intensives and a six-month residential missionary program, the Centre equips church leaders, young believers, and future missionaries with the tools they need to share the gospel effectively and sensitively.

This investment strengthens local churches, raises up workers from within the region, and supports mission efforts to unreached communities. The SEND Centre creates a dedicated environment where trainees can grow spiritually, emotionally, and practically—becoming confident, equipped disciple-makers ready to be sent.

Below are site plans on the proposed land.
